History of Cookies!!

Yummy, delicious, and warm, are three of the best words I can think of to describe cookies. Cookies were created by accident. According to one site that I read, one time people were using just a little bit of cake batter to see what the right temperature would be so that they could create a perfect and appetizing cak,e but when they came out people started calling the little cakes "koekje," "Koekje" is a a Dutch word that actually means "little cake." The cookies were made out of dough and they were eaten as snacks, just as they are today. Cookies are so popular that they are eaten by about 95.5% of Americans.
